Delores “De” K. Strang, age 68 of Warsaw, IN passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 in her home.
De was born to Orville Virgil and Lois Irene (Vance) Stroup on July 7, 1953 in Warsaw, IN. She was a lifetime resident of Warsaw and attended Otterbein United Methodist Church of Atwood, IN. She earned her G.E.D. and worked for Warsaw Coil, and for Bertsch Vending as the kitchen manager in the commissary. She enjoyed landscaping, baking, collecting, puzzles, sewing, reading, candy making, and cooking.
De will be missed by her daughters: Lisa (Matt) Evans of Silver Lake, IN; Kelly Strang of Winona Lake, IN; her grandchildren; Ashley Evans; Haley Shaw; Brittnay Evans; and Hunter Elliott; her sister, MaryAnn Upson of Buchanan, MI; and her brother, James (Linda) Stroup of Warsaw, IN.
De is preceded in death by her parents; her infant sister, Opal Pauling Stroup; and her brother, Morris Stroup.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family to help with the funeral expenses.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home (115 S. Main St., Bourbon, IN 46504).
Funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor David Banning presiding.
Face masks are suggested during the visitation and service for the safety of the family and our staff.
Burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery (10th Rd., Bourbon, IN 46504).
