”Waukesha helps our neighbors” says Fire Chief Howard

WAUKESHA, WI - We are covering breaking news out of Waukesha, Wisconsin where a Red SUV barreled down parade goers. At 4:39 PM on November 21 at Gasper Ave and Main Street a Red SUV drove through barricades headed westbound. It struck nearly 40 people and there are 5 confirmed fatalities at this time.


Fire Chief Howard stated that he sends his prayers to the families involved. There were 26 on duty personal that responded from 5 stations. They immediately sprung in to action and some even self-dispatched just by hearing radio traffic. The closest station was actually on the parade route.


They quickly activated the Mass Causality Protocols and a 2nd Level Mavis Box Alarm. There were 12 area fire departments that responded. There were also off duty fire/EMS personal attending the parade who jumped in to action as well.

Patients were transported to 6 area hospital. 22 were transported by fire and additional patients were transported by police and even local citizens. 48 people have been treated, however, we were advised that it can rise as they figure out more.


The chief personally went to the scene and based on his observations he is overwhelmed by the response and everyone did the best they could. He personally visited all the fire stations to give his sincere thanks to everyone involved.

He ended by saying his heart goes out to the families involved and appreciated everyone’s hard work.
